2011.11.12 YZU Toastmasters News Flash

I miss you guys. Last time I didn't show up because of my job. My company had family day at the same day. I really thank Bernie to be acting President last time. For me, it's really great to be back and join YZU Toastmasters Regular meeting.

Today's meeting would be a little special. We invite our friends from sister's club to give us support (Sunrise and HsinChu Toastmasters club). And our old friend, Bruce Lee, long time no see member, Steven, come back and join our meeting. I feel so warm and appreciate you coming and helping.

Our variety session master Melisa, VIP guest from Hsin Chu Toastmasters Club, hold the variety session. This time we talk about "Travel around the world". Everyone draw a place and talk about where would you want to go and want to buy.

Today is Sheila's first speech. Her virgin show. The object of C1-Ice break is talk about yourself. It's so great and amazing. From her speech, we know about her family, interest and dreams. Well prepare, great speech organized and full of humor. I really look forward for her next speech.

When you sell the product or ideas, you need a great proposal and best presentation. Our friends Ray (Sunrise Toastmasters Club) gives us a great proposal about "Medical Equipment".

It's really hard to describe about copy machine how it works in 10 minutes. Audience will fall asleep if you talk too detail. So, from Brian's speech, he add some story.

『When Light on. Vampire Dead. When Light off, Vampire Live』. And Vampire and Angel's love story. That's really help audience to remember his speech.



※Table Topics Session

Today we have a debate session about "Trial Marriage". Do you agree or disagree couples live together before get marry? Maybe is good for couples to know more about each other. Let's share your ideas.



※Individual Evaluation Session

Today we have two advance speaker. Their manual are "Technique presentation". This manual is vary hard to evaluate. Therefore, our former President Kevin will be the appropriate evaluator because his manual is also "Technique presentation". It's quite so busy to evaluate two people at the same session.His performance is so great.



※Language Evaluation

It's our great honor to invite Jennifer to be our Language Evaluation Master. This time, she give us some suggestion about pronunciation.When we pronounce these words, sometimes we didn't pronounce correctly.

For example.    Bad [bæd] 、Bed [bɛd]     You are a bad man. You are a bed man.
If you didn't pronounce it correctly, audience may confused. Next time, you can use the mirror when you practice the pronunciation.
